Project Partnering: A Way to Reduce Claims & Disputes

Project partnering is one of the most effective tools in the construction management process used to deliver successful projects — that complete on time, in budget, safely, with the specified quality, and no outstanding disputes end of job. Construction Managers are frequently leaders in convincing owners to adopt project partnering and must be involved in the entire process for partnering to be successful.

We will discuss results of a study concerning the cost and success of project partnering with respect to minimizing construction disputes.  We will also identify the characteristics, drivers, phases, and elements of successful partnering.  Obstacles to, and potential downsides of, successful partnering are covered along with benefits realized from successful project partnering.

This webinar identifies and discusses eight case studies across the country to discover whether partnering actually reduces disputes, while illustrating the “best in class” partnering results.

Instructor: James G. Zack, Jr. is Principal of James Zack Consulting, LLC, a construction claims consultancy dedicated to helping Owners and Contractors complete projects in the field, not arbitration or court. He is a recognized, published expert in mitigation, analysis, and resolution or defense of construction claims and disputes. In his 49-year career, he has been involved in public and private projects throughout the U.S. and 39 countries, working with Owners and Contractors on 5,000+ claims.
