Water, Wind & More…

November 18, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am PST

This webinar highlights issues and technology related to water availability, plus innovations in generating energy from water and wind.

WHERE HAS THE WATER GONE?  WHAT TO DO NOW.

Water collection and distribution worldwide is now based on assumptions that climate change has thrown out the window.  Dams aren’t filling, river flow is down, and snow is not building up.  Ironically, our planet’s surface is 75% water and Earth’s water quantity has not changed since the dinosaur age!  The problem is not overall availability, but the need for clean, drinkable water in the right place, at the right time.  We need available, proven technologies to create potable water at scale, economically, to meet needs of our cities, farms and industry.   We will highlight a highly innovative approach to fresh water production, technology to conserve water already in use, and new ways to make nearby dirty water safe to drink.

THE POWER OF WATER

Dams with generators are not the only way to produce significant amounts of energy from rivers and streams.   New innovative underwater turbine generators can now make large amounts of energy from the natural flow of water.  Water can also meet a broad range of HVAC and industrial process needs when it is guided through state of the art solar thermal technology. This economical and environmentally friendly technology offers a new option to meet our heating and cooling needs in buildings.

WAYS WITH WIND

New, small-scale wind turbines can work on buildings, homes and even in parks.  They provide a new option to help meet energy needs on a building-by-building and site-by-site basis.  The size of these turbines and the associated solar components make them highly compatible with the built environment.  A portion of this innovative product line presents these wind turbines as a kinetic work of art that will enhance any building and open space – combining utility with beauty or whimsey.
