SUMMARY:Impact Damages - Fact or Fiction?
DESCRIPTION:This unique webinar deals with this very specialized form of claim damages in a very practical way. \nThe intent of the session is to advise project participants on how to resolve impact damages on the project site – not in the courtroom.   \nMost owners and contractors are aware of different types of claims – change\, differing site condition\, suspension of work\, acceleration\, and termination claims.  While most are aware of the direct costs associated with these claims\, many are not familiar with the concept of impact damages\, and how these damages are additive to both the direct and the delay costs arising from claims. \nWe will identify what constitutes legitimate Impact damages.   We will also discuss some impact damage “claims games” – showing how to identify them and suggesting defenses. \nThis webinar will discuss 10 forms of impact damage claims and offer recommendations for addressing each one. \nParticipants will become conversant with the ins and outs of impact damages\, including how to prepare\, analyze\, and resolve them. \nInstructor: James G.
